This Week We
took the January Benchmark Dibels test this week. Every single student improved in their
fluency – and that proves we have been working hard! I am constantly thankful for the kids who are
giving their best day in and day out!
Wonderful progress Minions!
Congratulations! While we were
dibeling, students chose a Carole Marsh mystery book to read and do a project
with, so those books made up our Literacy activities this week. We also worked on our Multicultural Week Ancestral
country research this week. We also
continued to make a ton of progress on our Super Hero chapter books. In Math, we continued working on equivalent
fractions. We have also added cups and
background music to our NH Cups song so we are getting very close to being able
to share it! Can’t wait! (The lyrics are constantly going through my
head…every hour of every day!!!!)
Next Week
In Literacy for the short three day week, students will finish their
Carole Marsh mystery project. We will finish
our work on equivalent fractions in Math and get ready to take the Unit 3 test. We will continue to write our Super Hero adventures
and begin our ancestral country book paintings and pages. And, of course…we will be practicing our NH
Cups song. “We were there, Now we’re
here, We’re gonna explore everywhere, We’re gonna clear out the land, We’re
gonna build our new homes, We call this place New Hampshire….”
