This
Week Another good week logged into
the books! We dove into our first
Literacy story and learned more of our Work Plan routines with “My Diary From
Here to There.” The kids practiced
spelling choices, vocabulary booklets, Lucky Listener Club, got to know the
story elements chart, and had fun learning how to do a popsicle stick
story. We worked on repeating and
growing patterns in Math. We also
completed our new NH license plate designs and started learning about NH’s
place in the world. We are still working
on our Tree Ring writing projects and are enjoying listening to Harry Potter
each day. We also pretested on Study
Island.
Next
Week For Literacy next week, we will read the
story “The Adventures of Ali Baba Bernstein.”
We will continue to work on the skills of story elements and the
structure of sentences. In Math, we
will review place value, and comparing numbers.
We are going to be working on completing our Tree Ring projects. We are going to be starting a Picturing
Writing project on the regions of NH. We
will also be starting our first long term project and it will come home on
Monday. (To allow your family time to work on the project during the long term
project time frame, our regular homework will consist of the spelling practice,
reading independently, and possibly occasional math practice. Good luck with the project! Have fun)
REMINDER: We
have Phys Ed on Mondays – so remember your sneakers! Activity Clubs to start next Friday!
