This
Week We made it through our first
whole week! Yay! We did it!
We enjoyed “The Adventures of Ali Baba Bernstein” in reading this week. Students learned some new Work Plan choices like
the Wordless Story and Reader’s Theater fluency practice. Everyone worked hard at completing the
various choices of the Work Plan. We
also worked hard on comparing numbers, place value, adding review, and tackled
rounding to different place values (that was a little confusing)! We are finishing up our Tree Ring projects
and starting our NH Regions project. We
have also started the Reading Dibels testing, as well as the Math Dibels.
Next
Week For Literacy next week, we will read the
nonfiction selection “Kid Reporters At Work.”
We will work on looking at the elements of nonfiction articles and the
structure of compound sentences. In
Math, we will review the skills of Unit 1 to get ready for the test at some
point in the week. We will review place
value, rounding, number patterns, adding, and subtracting. We are going to be starting to do the writing
to our NH Regions Picturing Writing project.
Please continue to work on the NH County Map Project at home. (Reminder
- To allow your family time to work on the project during the long term project
time frame, our regular homework will consist of the spelling practice, reading
independently, and possibly occasional math practice. Good luck with the project! Have fun.)
