Owl News - September 18

This Week  We had another awesome week!  We have become experts at working at our Morning Parliament Meeting.  We were busy with working on our Literacy routine and how we make our literacy center choices.  We worked on practicing our Ravenclaw Writing process with stories about our treasure hunt from last week.  In Social Studies, in our Paddington Adventure project, Paddington introduced us to the destination of the Statue of Liberty.    In Math, we finished working with patterns of ones, fives, and hundreds.  We also finished Chapter 1, reviewed with our College Prep board, and took the end of chapter assessment.  We also started work on the Moby Max website with our Math placement test.  As a reward at the end of the week for such hard work – we enjoyed our first Quidditch.

Next Week  In ELA, we will read the story of “Family Farm.”  In Math, we will start Chapter 2 in Math where we will be working with numbers up to 1,000.  Paddington’s Adventures will bring us to a couple of historical places in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy another Quidditch practice at the end of the week!
